Happy Turkey day

I hope every one has a GREAT Thanksgiving tomorrow!!
I will probably be spending the majority of my time over at my parents house! We will start off by shooting some clay pigeons in the back yard fallowed by the big feast. Then we will probably end up at my husbands grandparents house for some pumpkin pie yummy!!!

I have been enjoying my Thanksgiving break and trying to relax before I have to go back to school!! Although it does not seem like much of a break, because the teachers at my school would not let us go home with nothing to do!!

EXCITING NEWS!!
NO I am NOT pregnant, but my brother just go back from his mission!! He served in Peru for over 2 years. He was supposed to come back in October but he was such a good missionary and they liked him so much they needed to keep him another month and so of course he stayed. I was so excited to get to see him FIRST!! Ya see what happened is the weekend he got home, BSU was playing Utah State in Utah. So to make a long story short. We drove to Utah to watch BSU WIN!! Then I had to fly home to Boise so that I could be home to see my brother but it just so happened that we were on the same flight together!! So I talked with the lady at the counter and had them change my seating assignment so that I could set next to him on the plane ride home!! I don't think that is cheating is it?? Anyway my brother had NO idea that I was going to be on the same flight as him, and I REALLY surprised him in the Salt Lake City airport. It was good to see him.



Any way all is good and SORRY it has been such a long time since I was last here. And I don't have any new pictures to post I will see if I can round some up.

I am STILL here!!

Just wanted to say that I am still here!! I have been way to busy to stop and take a minute to update everyone. School has started and I am already into my 4th week at BSU in the RADSCI program. I am learning a ton EVERYDAY!! I hope that I will be able to reatain ALL of it. Other than school and work, BSU football has started and we have WON our first two games of the season!! GO BRONCOS!! I hope everyone is doing well.

What we have been up to latley!

Well school is just right around the corner, and I mean RIGHT around the corner! So I had to finish a few projects before school takes over my life. Recently my projects was to stain ALL of our kitchen cabinets. Boy what that a job to do. We went from a really light color on our cabinets to a really dark chocolate brown. It took probably 10-12 coats if not more to get the color just right. So here is our new Kitchen.




One other thing is that we have been painting our downstairs walls with a new color. Yes I know we just painted our walls one year ago but we ended up not really liking the color, but we lived with it for a year. So we picked out a new color that we like MUCH better!! It is called oyster shell, it is a light brown/dark beige color. You can kind of see the color difference in the the picture below

Happy 4th of July!!

Well okay so I am just a few days late. But I hope everyone had a GREAT 4th of July!! We were able to make a quick trip to Utah and spend some time with Ben's Sister and brother in Law. His parents were even able to make it up for the weekend from California. We had a GREAT time!! We went boating and tubing all day on the
4th and then later that evening we headed up to Provo to watch some fire works at the BYU stadium. They were pretty cool. Sorry I don't have any pictures of the fireworks, I think by this time the camera decided to run out of battery and die. Here are a few pics of everyone getting pulled by the tube. I chickened out and did not want to go so I was the one taking the pictures.

Weekend Camping Trip

This past weekend we were able to enjoy a nice and RAINY camping trip. We went to our favorite spot up by Gold Fork Hot springs. Even though it did rain on us EVERY day we were still able to enjoy being outside. Ben and Ryan built us this really nice shelter so that we were able to be outside and watch the rain fall instead of hiding out in our tents. We went with our friends Ryan, Jen and there 3 year old daughter Emma. We had lots of fun! Oh and Jen your apple cobbler was delicious. Here a just a few pics of our fun filled weekend.

The New Dew!!

My wonderful husband bought me a gift certificate to my favorite hair salon as part of my birthday gift. I had been talking about getting a new dew for the hair because my hair was just getting way to long. Plus I wanted to be able to donate it to Locks of Love so that someone else can enjoy my hair has much as I have. So, let me know what you all think. I LOVE the new dew!!

Birthday Cake

I had all of my family over for a little BBQ in celebration of my birthday. It was pretty fun cooking on my behalf. Normally you wouldn't be the one cooking on your birthday, but I enjoyed it. I don't get to cook for a very big group that often so it was fun. I cooked the steaks and we had grilled corn on the cob which I have never done before, it turned out delicious!! I also ended up making some rolls. My Mom brought over some yummy cheesy potatoes and baked beans and of course the Birthday Cake. My sister Nicole brought over this really YUMMY pea salad. And Janae brought over fruit pizza. It was a good dinner.


We only had one little miss-hap with the camera, We had taken lots of pictures of the Birthday Cake that looked absolutely beautiful, not to mention that it was strawberry flavored with real strawberries! So with the half eaten Cake we had to take pictures of what was left of the cake. I have to give a big THANK YOU to my wonderful mom for all of her hard work that she puts into her cake making!! So here is what my Birthday Cake looked like half gone!!

Happy Birthday to ME!!

Well 24 years ago was the day of my birth. It is hard to believe that I am a whopping 24 Years old today! We don't have much planned except for me taking the day off from work and getting a nice treat at the pedicure place. I will post a pic as soon as they get done!! Ben and I are also going to go out to eat at the OLD SPAGHETTI FACTORY. It should be a fun night. And than latter this week I will have my family over for a tasty treat!!

This is my cute little doggie playing in his sprinkler!! When we play ball and it is super hot outside he has to have his sprinkler other wise he might just over heat! He just stands over the top of it and lets it soak him it is the funniest thing to see.

On mothers day we went to Ben's grandmas for a little while. The dog and I were out side playing and he soon discoverd their big pond. He can't help himself to love the water so much.

One year Later

Well one year ago today was the day that we signed for our house. WOW what a day that was. I can't believe we have been here for a whole year. It definitely does not feel that way. Probably because we are still trying to update our house and get it the way that we would like. Which also means we have started a new project, YES that is right another project, when will it ever end?? Well we decided that our pergo floor was nice in the kitchen but we really wanted to update it to a more sophisticated look of tile, So yesterday my wonderful hubby started ripping out the floor and hopefully we will start laying tile soon.
Of course my dog had to get in the picture!! this is what our Pergo floor used to look like.
Oh there is the dog once again.
This is what was under our Pergo floor nice linoleum. We will probably lay our tile right on top of this stuff.

Our Rhododendrons are starting to Bloom!!

Over 2 months ago we bought these really expensive plants called rhododendrons from the nursery, and the guy working there told us that they would probably bloom in a week or 2 well a whole 2 months latter they are finally starting to bloom. Maybe the guy meant 2 months??

Bathroom Remodel

Here is Ben fixing the tile, he had to add a few more tiles where the old sink used to be. He does such a great job.
This is the old pedestal in 2 pieces in the garage.

Okay so our bathroom has been done for quite some time now but I guess I have been slacking just a bit about posting new picture of it. This is our guest bathroom and really all we did was replace the old cracked pedestal sink with this cute new one!!
